Nigerian DJs breaks world record
207 Disc Jockey artiste in Nigeria made an attempt to set a new Guiness World Record for the longest DJ relay session on the 22nd of April 2018. One of the organisers of the event, Olanrewaju Ojo who is the managing director of Siglo innovations said in his own words that the idea is to give Nigerian Djs international recognition and also bringing global recognition for the country. Speaking further, he said, “We want to give you an experience you’ve never had before. This is a party like no other and the experience is once in a lifetime”. The event which was tagged “DJ MIXATHON 2018” took place at the Silverbird Galleria, Lagos has 207 Deejays in attendance. Nigerians has once again proved that they are not lazy and that they are hardworking in whatever field they have chosen. Nigerian Deejays has broken the world record of the longest DJ relay session. It was a hit. The event has in attendance top notch Nigerian Deejays such as DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune, DJ Consequence, DJ Cwitch, DJ Tempo among others and they all keep giving vibes to the day for a whole 600 minutes. These Deejays deserve more than accolades. Among the sponsors of these events are the Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) and the Lagos State Government to mention a few. Once again, Nigerians has brought glory and honour to the country. Nigerian Deejays should be celebrated day in and out in the entertainment industry for they are the bedrock of entertainment.
